Donovan's EA Sports Ad Strikes True

Landon Donovan got "snubbed" out of a roster spot for the USA Men's National Team. So what? The USMNT went on to grab three points by a great header off Brooks, and the team is steamrolling to a match against a battered and confused Portuguese team.

If you just understood any of that, it means that the USA, so far, is doing just fine without Donovan. But is the opposite true? Is Donovan okay without the U.S.?

EA Sports says yes.

In a delightful spot, Donovan gives us a peek into his post-USA Team life. Waking up late, eating breakfast, reading the newspaper; all while in his soft, white USA robe. Then, with no practice in the horizon, he plops on the couch to play himself in EA Sport's latest game.

Take a look.

EA Sports and Landon did a great job poking fun at Landon's lost chance of going to the World Cup and gave solid attention to the FIFA game. It is good to see that Donovan has a good sense a humor to do a spot like this, though we're sure he was compensated nicely for it.
