Wow! Talk about out-of-this-world publicity! NASA has come up with a way of assuring its presence in the fantasies of science fiction fans for years, if not ages, to come. (And, maybe, increasingly in the minds of congress people.) The national space agency, reports The Wall Street Journal, is hosting novelists and providing their manuscripts with fact-checkers so that whatever flights of fancy the writers come up with will have accurate grounding, so far as NASA — a focal factor in the upcoming works — is concerned. The first is William R. Forstchen's "Pillar to the Sky"; it's about the building of a space elevator and is available from Amazon.
