High-Tech Apps for Your Pants

First it was wired diapers telling parents when their precious little ones wet themselves. Now, there are connected unmentionables that can bring you intimate pleasures with the help of an app. As technology advances, we’re finding ourselves with more and more intimate high-tech gadgetry.

blueMotion massager is equipped with vibrations that either can be controlled by the wearer or by another user. According to the company’s founders, “Technology can drive couples apart, but this is using technology and gadgets to bring them closer together.” The blueMotion massager isn’t the only risqué tech offered by the company. They also have a full line of high-tech sex toys.

blueMotion is limited by physical distance, though. Users must be close in proximity in order to use the app and massager. But if you’re in a long distance relationship, never fear — Durex Australia has a similar device, called Funderwear, which works over longer distances.

The underwear is just one of many new, more intimate technologies that have come out recently. In July 2013, the Smart Diaper was debuted as a way for parents to tell if their child’s diaper was wet. In addition to techie diapers, Charmin announced its SitOrSquat app, which helped users find and rate the cleanliness of nearby public restrooms.

Clearly, whatever your in-the-pants needs are, there is — or will be — an app for that.
