|Timehop's Fun Nostalgic Glimpses
By: Jessica Cherok
Remember last year? Probably not, unless you’re one of those eidetic types. For those of us without a photographic memory, Timehop gives you the chance to relive what you were up to exactly one year ago.
Every day, Timehop will send a snapshot of the pics and updates you made the year before. The photos and posts come from the social media sites you use — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, and Foursquare. You can relive special events, remember fun moments otherwise forgotten, and find yourself getting downright nostalgic.
Timehop aggregates your social media presence, and delivers it right to your phone. Or email inbox. You will get some nice perspective on where you’ve come from; after all, hindsight is 20/20.
Admittedly, if last year was a calendar full of heartbreak and letdowns, Timehop may not be what you need. At least, not until next year, right? Buck up, little camper.
Timehop considers itself the curator of the ultimate personal history experience. They even teamed up with USA Today so its readers can pull up previously run stories.
The whole concept is cool, and similar to looking through old photo albums with your grandma, your grandkids could one day peruse this app with you.
