Facebook's Redesign Actually Isn't Annoying |

Facebook’s new news feed redesign is touted by Mark Zuckerburg as being the “best personalized newspaper” ever. Well, maybe not ever, but still pretty cool.
Unlike the previous feed, Facebook’s new version gives the user more visual ease over the content that is seen. We’ve probably all been somewhat tricked recently when seeing an a post that looked like it was posted by our friend, but turned out to be an ad of some sort.
According to Facebook, the redesign is meant to clear out the extra noise by being story-centric and showcasing larger, higher quality photos. Furthermore, topics that you like from your own profile will now also show up in your feed.
Maybe the best feature for users is that instead of just being able to filter their feed between Top Stories or Most Recent, there will be options like Music, Photos, or a Following Feed for any Pages the user liked. The new navigation options at the top of your Facebook profile allow users to switch between the different feed choices. There will also be an increased ease of use when accessing Facebook from a mobile device.
All of these are pretty great and welcome changes within Facebook’s usability. And unlike many previous (okay, nearly all) Facebook redesign announcements, there has been little outcry related to privacy violations, etc.
Good news all around.
