Do You Have Images in Your Crisis Plan?

With images becoming a steadily more important presence on the web, do you have an image component in your crisis communication plan? Gerald Baron notes on Crisisblogger that by 2013, according to Cisco, 90 percent of Internet time will be spent watching video. Agree or disagree, images will be a substantially bigger component of information flows. Do you have steps for providing them in your crisis plan?

Gerald and Bill Slavin, another crisis communication pro, provide helpful prompting on being prepared with images in the Crisisblogger post. "Social media," says Bill, means everyone is a publisher today, including your company. You have a timeline for issuing your first statement about an incident, but do you have a timeline for releasing an official image?" A good question.
