With the community movement flourishing and becoming a "new media" environment on the Web, it's time that it had it's own professional association. And lo, it does — the Community Roundtable and the CR Network. We're not saying that CR is the only digital community center; we really don't know. But it's a fully fashioned association, complete with a hefty annual membership fee. You've got to be a community management or social media practitioner to join.

CR's website is packed with PR resources in the style of the Public Relations Association of America (PRSA), eternal verities all. Welcome to these important new colleagues in a world that's only a few keystrokes away.
