Kellie Sheehan, a PR practitioner in St. Louis, decided to take an improv class "to better myself professionally" — even though she doesn't relish "embarrassing myself" in public. She not only got insights into delivering laugh lines, but in sharpening her awareness of PR skills, such as "validate, don't negate." Like effective PR advisors, good improvisers, Kellie found, "are extraordinarily good listeners and observers." Spend some time on the boards with her here.

"What are you doing," Kellie asks, "to push yourself beyond your comfort zone?" This is a creative contribution of a high order. Cheers from the seats!
