You cannot enjoy a career in advertising if you don't like words. As advertising professionals, we have the opportunity to play with words and sentences each and every day. We have the opportunity to use common words, rarely used words, and in some cases, words we decide to make up in hopes of creating something new. Our goal in playing with words is to mold the words in a way that our consumers can relate to. We can reach them through story-telling, third-party recognition, or the persuasive route.
BuySellAds.com released an infographic that depicts the techniques AdPeople use when playing with words. Take a look and tell us what you think. Is it accurate? Are there techniques, words, and phrases that you think should have been added?
