Calling City Hall in Aurora, CO

Jo Ann Greer spends a fair amount of time on the phone in her work with the Aurora, CO, city government. Aurora has a citizens' call-in line, Access Aurora, and Jo Ann answers it, handling many of the 4,000 or so calls that come in each month. Aurora is a city of 325,000 residents, but a call-in line for the public is a good idea for municipalities of just about any size. Does your community have one? If not, isn't that a PR opportunity for you?

Simply suggesting such a service in your own municipality is likely to be appreciated, whether or not it's picked up on. (We'd hope it will be.) Read the interview with Jo Ann in the Aurora Sentinel to get a first-hand idea of how the call-in line works and what its benefits have been for Aurora-area residents.
