PR Seen As Recession-Proof

For PR firms, there's cheeriness in economic adversity.  Gil Rudawsky writes on Ragan's PR Daily that PR services are increasingly being viewed as recession-resilient. That's because preserving a business's place in the sun is PR's role.

"PR counsel has become especially valuable during times of turmoil," Rudawsky writes, "primarily due to the advent of social media and the changing communication landscape."

"There's also the value-added proposition that PR delivers more cost-effective results," he adds, "particularly when compared with advertising and marketing.

The post includes earnings results from given firms to bolster Rudawsky's cheery points. Fair enough. We'd only advise you to insure that given clients are willing and able to pay, to make good on, their commitments for PR services.
