Entitled "7 Ways to Improve Employee Satisfaction," the article refers readers to "Delivering Happiness," the book by Zappos.com CEO Tony Hsieh and The Happiness Project blog of Gretchen Rubin, as well as providing its heralded seven suggestions. They include giving employees more control over their schedules, environment and/or work habits; creating employee-driven competitions, such as sales competitions; ways to ease commuting stress; freeing up more time with techniques like shorter meetings; encouraging social connections by fostering good office communication; promoting good health; breaking up routines; and creating an atmosphere of growth.
