Ahead of summer, Olive Garden is adding the zucchini noodle dish as a healthier alternative to similar, higher calorie offerings. Here's a hot take for you: Better for you can also mean better tasting. I PROMISE. Veggies may not always trump pasta, but this primavera just might.
According to a rep for the brand, the zoodles are "tossed in a light basil cream sauce with broccoli, carrots, seasoned tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms." Try and tell me that doesn't sound like heaven. I DARE YOU.
It also counts for five servings of your daily vegetables. So like, even if you partake in the endless breadsticks, you're still doing something nice for your health.
The Zoodles Primavera, which is part of Olive Garden's lower calorie Tastes of the Mediterranean menu, is available as a lunch portion for $8.99 or as a dinner size for $14.99. You can add chicken for an extra two bucks and shrimp for $4.
