In a piece written in 2015 entitled "Brand Voice Doesn’t Mean What You Think It Means, But You Still Need One," Melissa Lafsky wrote "Brands that communicate successfully are successful brands. And in order to communicate successfully, you have to distinguish and define your voice."

She is, of course 1,000% right. However in her post she was speaking at a holistic level re: the brand voice. You know the stuff that goes into a branding guide that all employees adhere to and so on.

However there is another brand voice to speak of, the literal brand voice AKA the voice over talent for a given brand.
