OK, this is when you know you’re a real gamer. Mario Brothers. Double Dribble. Contra. Metal Gear. If you played all these games and Duck Hunt with the original Nintendo with the gun, you are the Jedi Master of gaming. You’ve seen the evolutions. You’ve seen game systems come and go, and you know Nintendo was and has been the SH*T forEVA. Now the original old-school player is back to give your kids a history in true gaming. Nintendo has been re-incarnated at the Nintendo Classic Mini.

Don’t have a heart attack, old-school gamers; “mini” doesn’t mean it’s not packing a punch. The Nintendo Classic Mini comes with 30 preloaded classic games. Yes, you’re feeling it now. Donkey Kong, Zelda, Metorid, and many more. The force is strong with this one. It’s small, but we’ve got to give Nintendo some slack. Microchips are a lot smaller these days. We were dealing with boulders in comparison to today’s chips.

Plus, it’s 60 bucks. Come on! You know you want one. Madden 16’ is like 70 bucks with no real nostalgia. We’re talking childhood memories. Nothing compares to Mario making it to the top of the platform on Donkey Kong to put that barrel rolling and temper tantrum to an end. I think this is better than Puffy doing re-mixes with old-school tracks. This is a Man Cave must have. Actually, guys should start gifting these at Bachelor Parties. Here’s to the ball & chain, bro. When the Mrs. won’t let you out of the crib, you can dive into your inner kid and play:

Balloon Fight, Bubble Bobble, Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Final Fantasy, Galaga, Ghosts' N Ghoblins, Gradius, Ice Climber, Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure, Mario Bros., Mega Man 2, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Pac-Man, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, StarTropics, SUPER C, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

I call this kicking it with the “Original Ole G’s.” I think it’s a cool way to bring back the classics and celebrate the system that made the Nintendo the brand it is today.
