Goodby, Silverstein & Partners has gotten into a fun groove with its most recent work for "Got Milk?" which goes back to the campaign's roots and reminds consumers that (beyond being good for you) milk just helps food go down — way better.
In its latest effort, GS&P decided to "hijack" one of the season's most popular events — Girl Scout cookie sales. To celebrate the upcoming National Girls Scouts Weekend, the agency capitalized on the idea that "you can't have cookies" without milk and "ambushed" a troop of Girl Scouts selling cookies. It tapped a crew of Boy Scouts to park next to the gals and sell single servings of Berkeley Farms milk (donated from Dean Foods), with all proceeds going to their organization.
Goodby has released a video re-capping the one-time event. Also, whenever people tweet #girlscoutcookies, they'll see a short version of the film pop up in their feeds. In a statement, the agency said it only "took about 100 years" to think up this idea for the client.
