Jim Beam Introduces Apple Bourbon to #makehistory

A friend of ours is a bourbon drinker. She finds it very soothing and full of taste. Others find it an acquired taste. The primary time we drink bourbon is during Kentucky Derby days when we drink mint juleps. Jim Beam wants to make history and change that with their introduction of Jim Beam® Apple.

With the onslaught of everything pumpkin, we are grateful Jim Beam didn’t introduce a pumpkin bourbon! Apple bourbon makes more sense. Fall is apple-picking season. We find recipes online adding apple to the traditional squash and sausage meal. That sounds tasty. Apple liqueur is a nice addition to bourbon by giving it a “light juicy twist”.

The Jim Beam website offers some great imagery of their products and Jim Beam® Apple. The site is worth visiting just to see the great photography and videography. They also offer some new recipes for creating fresh cocktails using the new bourbon including Apple Cider, Ginger Highball, Hot Apple, and more. These options could be a great thing to serve at a fall party.

The hashtag for this introduction is Make History. The site shares how the Jim Beam brand has been making history for seven generations and staying true to their family recipe. Now, in the age of social media and customer engagement, they want you, their customer, to make history. A year ago, they hired Mila Kunis to be their spokesperson to represent the brand. In August, they introduced Jim Beam® Apple and on our news app, Flipboard, they are heavily advertising.

This product has a lot of history. They added a young, beautiful marketing spokesperson who cares about family and tradition. They are tying in history making through social channels. It’s a nice campaign.
