It seems we love our celebrities, our pets, and our luxury items. When you combine all three together, you get a successful social media campaign called #coachpups. The company that started it all is Coach. Coach is an American leatherware company providing affordable luxury handbags and accessories. To bring attention to their branded products, they had a little fun using celebrity pets.

The campaign celebrates the dogs in our lives and captures the pups’ unique personalities as they ‘model’ Coach’s Fall 2015 star bags. This is the perfect use of social media. The dogs Coach is featuring include: Lady Gaga's Miss Asia Kinney, Ariana Grande's Toulouse and Miranda Kerr's Frankie. The marketing statement is “Love what you carry. Carry what you love.” It is sweet and cute and showcases Coach bags in a great way. The celebrities even donated to pet charities to make this campaign even better.

There is great potential to go further with the coachpups campaign. The holidays could be even more fun as the dogs could be festively dressed to model some holiday Coach bags. We enjoy looking at lovely women who show us how to carry Coach bags, but is another thing entirely to have a pet turn the item into something adorable. It makes us want to buy the item even more.

Coach did a terrific job with this inventive campaign and sets the bar high for interesting and effective social media coverage.
