Ask People For Money For Anything |

The company Honeyfund was on Shark Tank asking for funding, which they ended up receiving. They offer an online wedding registry. Their future plans are to offer online fundraising for all of life’s events through Plumfund. They call this market crowd-gifting. Imagine a platform where people can ask for anything, and sometimes get it.
Gofundme, Kickstarter, and Indiegogo are ranked as the top crowdfunding sites. Entrepreneurs have raised money to create some incredible products and projects. (We are still excitedly waiting for our Prynt product to arrive — it will allow us to print pictures instantly off our smartphone.) Technology has enabled supportive individuals to help fund initiatives they support that might not have made it to fruition without them.
Crowd-gifting is a similar concept. People like to help others and seem to realize that small contributions can make a significant difference when combined with others. For online wedding registries, Honeyfund allows people to gift in a unique, new way. They can create a fun registry with items such as Rosetta Stone language lessons, cooking classes, swing dancing, theme park passes, and more. These are great ideas. Marriage is about more than appliances, china, and towels. Marriages that start off strong tend to focus more on building memories and experiences.
We like that Plumfund offers the ability to raise money for other things. Things like a baby shower, birthday, anniversary, graduation, travel, club and sport teams, funerals and memorials, and medical and hardships. This is where crowd-gifting is exciting. Imagine not having to go door to door selling candy or pizzas for your sports team. Imagine an easy way for people to contribute to medical costs. People helping people is what crowd-gifting is all about. Thanks to Plumfund for enabling it.
