If you’re looking for new furniture, you may want to wait until October 1. A new line of furniture will debut from the collaboration of modern furniture company CB2 and retro rocker, actor, and songwriter Lenny Kravitz. Some newly released photos of some of the designs show a mix of retro, boldness, gold, and flashiness.

Artistic people are creative. Their creativity doesn’t just reside in one area. Oftentimes they are creative in whatever they touch. That seems to be the case with Lenny Kravitz. His art crosses into music, acting and furniture design. Isn’t music really about designing rhythms and sound? Perhaps some of his furniture designs are how he sees music in his head.

Applying the Lenny Kravitz name to a brand instantly conjures up an combined image of retro, chic, and creativity. He was known for writing love songs, so perhaps shoppers will find some designs that are conducive to spending loving time with family. Other celebrities have created furniture lines, but they were known for different skills. Creativity and retro are hallmarks of the Kravitz brand. It is a good pairing for furniture design.

Crate and Barrel will make a splash for their CB2 furniture store with this partnership. Crate and Barrel may be too expensive and upscale for some younger tastes. CB2 is geared toward a younger, price-conscious crowd. Lower priced items shouldn’t be less stylish, so with the influence of Kravitz, the new line will have a lot of personality and style. Sounds like a nice partnership.
