Donald Trump is running for President of the United States. He wants to be POTUS. He is running as a Republican who says the “The American Dream is Dead”, and he wants to make this country great and strong again. Is his personal brand strong enough to win the nomination?

What do people think of when they think of Donald Trump? He is a billionaire. He has been bankrupt a few times and came back a few times. To clarify, it was corporate bankruptcy, not personal. His use of the laws to restructure debt and turnaround his companies have been written about as models for how to get out of debt. He knows how to use existing laws and can manage businesses successfully.

He likes attention. He knows how to work an audience and win people over. He is opinionated and takes a stand.  His show “The Apprentice” has been successful, so he can perform well on TV. He is a media man. And, he has money. He can spread his message across the country and reach people. He can buy people’s attention. He may do well garnering the vote of the American people, but then what happens if he wins the office of President?

Can Donald Trump work with the House and the Senate? Do they care about his business dealings and his ability to make money? Does he know enough about the issues and can he make good strategic, long-term decisions that are based on more than profits? Does he have enough strong political connections? He has money and business success but does he have political savvy? We will see what the American public thinks.
