In the world of medical consultation, the age of waiting in line to see a doctor is over. More and more medical practitioners and insurance companies are cashing in on the new world of medical consultation: the medical app. Apps can provide advice from a network of professionals who can be in your presence in times of sickness or worries about the unusual pimple. Consumers can receive live video or telephone diagnoses in times of need. Sometimes we don’t want to sit in a waiting room; we just want to Teladoc.

Teladoc is the perfect brand for moms who need answers right away. As everyone knows, when you have a young one who is not feeling well, taking your baby to a waiting room is no fun. It’s uncomfortable for everyone involved. Now you can call someone and get answers 24 hours a day. Your little one can be with you, safe at home, and you can get the advice you need until you reach your regular family caretaker. It’s a service that can definitely be utilized worldwide.

Teladoc is a network of U.S. board-certified family practitioners, primary care physicians, pediatricians, and internists who use electronic health records to diagnose, treat, and write prescriptions when necessary. This is an interesting take on care that is really becoming a staple for families. Teladoc just raised $50.3 million in a Series F round in 2014, so you know investors see the benefit the brand is giving to people — the health advice they need, all around the world.
