Those sugary marshmallow sweet treats called Peeps have brand staying power. We had them as kids, and our kids ask for them at Easter and beyond. Now Peeps & Company, in conjunction with Prairie Farms, is offering a Peeps drink to get that same great flavor in another form.

Remember when Coke teamed up with Prairie Farms a little while ago to bring a higher-protein, lower-sugar premium milk to market called Fairlife? To balance that out, it would seem, Prairie Farms is making this high-sugar Peeps milk (37 grams of the sugary stuff) in three flavors of Marshmallow Milk, Chocolate Marshmallow Milk, and Easter Egg Nog. To put it all in context, consider this.
  • Fairlife milk has 6 grams of sugar in one serving
  • Regular 2% milk has 12 g of sugar
  • Chocolate milk has 24 g of sugar
  • Peeps milk has 37 g of sugar
  • Coke has 44 g of sugar
Consider the Peeps-flavored milk a sweet treat, not a healthy substitute for your lunch — even if it has milk in it.

Given that, Peeps is a lasting candy treat. Some of our friends like to open the package and let them harden, then devour them. Others like to enjoy them fresh and sugary.

Regardless, Peeps has done a great job with this brand, expanding into Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine shapes, all the while keeping the traditional Easter marshmallow chick a desirable candy in the spring. Their online store offers a crazy assortment that is cheery and fun too. Go ahead and bite off the head of a Peep, and then wash it down with some milk!
