The Flow Puck Challenges the Computer Mouse

When you have something really good, you like to share it. When you really like something, you tell people about it. Our computer has a touch pad for the controls. We don’t use a mouse, yet my friend tries to convince me I would prefer a mouse, because he really likes it. Yet people have a system that works for them. For pixel-level work, computer controls can be more challenging. A start-up company called Senic is offering an alternative to a mouse or touch pad with a wireless Flow Puck. It has more control options that designers may favor over the traditional computer mouse.

The Flow Puck offers four types of control: motion by waving over its infrared sensor, a programmable touch pad on top, haptic response for pushing Flow like a button, and a physical cylinder around the sides that you can twist for ultimate precision. When a computer mouse was enhanced with the scrolling dial, it seemed we were at the pinnacle of computer control. Now, with all this functionality to control things on our computer programs through various controls, we can accomplish more.

If you are using your computer for basic functions, a mouse or touch pad may be sufficient. If you are using design software or need finite control, the Flow Puck may be your dream come true. We applaud any device that makes your job easier, better, faster. The Flow Puck has the ability to do just that, and if you really like it, you may want to tell people about it.
