Six Flags Amusement Park is a popular attraction for kids and families. It is a fun-filled place to ride roller coasters, see shows, and enjoy the water park. When summer ends, Six Flags has only weekend hours and fewer customers. Most families have already done the “amusement-park thing” and weekends bring soccer games and football, so there is less time. Six Flags redecorates the amusement park and hosts Fright Fest to bring people back in the fall.

Halloween and haunted houses are big draws in the fall. Six Flags has a horrifying fright show, wicked woods, and haunted houses. They also have scary costumed employees paid to walk around the park and scare parkgoers. If you have young children, it is best to go during the day as it gets scarier at night. Children can wear their costumes to the park and collect treats down the Character Candy Trail.

Six Flags also is also offering the opportunity to smash used pumpkins. You can bring in your pumpkins to the gate then head to Hometown Square, where they actually encourage you to smash pumpkins to pieces. Teens will find this activity attractive. They are encouraged to do something that otherwise they are told not to do.

Friends who have attended Fright Fest say it is often busier than during the summer. When your season is winding down, think about ways to extend it like Six Flags with Fright Fest.
