I'm like any other guy on the planet who loves the smell of a woman when she is wearing perfume. Hell, body wash from Vicky’s can get it going. But I learned the other that you haven't met a woman until you’ve met a woman that has a custom scent. Not “custom” like she bought it at the store. I'm talking “custom designed.” One designed specially for her and by her. Kilian is a luxury perfume brand for a new era, or as they say, "Perfume as art."
 
So, I know most guys who are reading this post are cringing. If you get caught cheating on your significant other, this could be the new “revenge” gift. $35k of "Remember Lauren your business trip?"
 
All jokes aside, this is top-notch stuff. If a woman wants a custom scent, she can work with a team of Kilian's perfume scientists and they will help her create one. From what I've gathered, it is more than just a client showing up one day and it's over. It's a truly enriching process of discovery that leaves one with a personal brand statement as it relates to perfume.
 
Furthermore, the bottles are so exquisite that Kilian urges its clients to make it customary to pass the bottles from generation to generation by refilling the bottles with the perfume; the ultimate mother-and-daughter gift. The Kilian storefronts themselves are beautiful, and the brand  has extensions from perfume-scented jewelry to clutches. Plus, if a lady isn't into the $35k market yet, she can buy a bottle of perfume starting at $100 and still enjoy the Kilian experience.
 
The killer part about the entire brand story is that Kilian is a luxury brand created by Kilian Hennessy, whose grandfather was the master whiskey brewer Hennessy, a brand that sells millions of bottles every year. It's amazing what can happen when you put excellent product in a bottle with an awesome design and marketing behind it. Some would say you can amass enormous amounts of wealth and create history. In this case, the Hennessy family is creating a legacy.
