Acura’s New TLX Launch Is That Kind of Thrill

Facebook advertising is on the rise with Facebook Q2 advertising revenue topping $2.7 billion. Automotive manufacturer Acura contributed to that large number. Today’s Facebook post had an Acura commercial for their new TLX that was worth watching. It actually pulled us in and kept us captivated through all three videos. It was that thrilling!

Acura’s introductory tagline for this vehicle is “It’s That Kind of Thrill.” Two of our favorite videos from Facebook are “The After, After, After Party” and “We Made This One for Us, But You Can Still Have One.” These show interesting, thrilling events that metaphorically equate to the experience of owning an Acura TLX. 

The 2015 TLX replaces both the TSX and TL. For car buffs, they will say “but of course.” For others, it’s just a series of letters. But in Acura’s case, people will remember the TLX with this kind of introduction.

The Acura TLX is said to be an industry transformer. It claims to have the best residual resale value after five years and best-in-class fuel mileage, plus being very fun to drive. Acura took an interesting approach with their emotional videos for the TLX. Their entire TLX campaign utilizes "bite-sized," contextually relevant video. Love, love, love it!

Bite-sized video is just enough emotion to make you want more. If you actually do want more, you can find the TLX on YouTube. Acura has 41 videos on the TLX to keep you interested for 1 hour and 47 minutes. But being car buffs, we didn’t need to watch all 41 videos. By the time we finished the three videos on Facebook, we were ready for a test drive.

Car marketers have it so great. They get to design the glitziest ads and videos and create some of the best slogans. The closer on the thrilling Acura TLX launch hits you from their website. The TLX is “Idling Impatiently at Dealers Now."
