Chute the Works For Mom

Finding the perfect Mother’s Day gift is never easy. But if your Mom is a fun foodie, and your budget cries "minimal," the sky can still be the limit. It’s called Jafflechutes and is happening in NYC all the merry month of May.
What is Jafflechutes? In reality, a sandwich, BUT one with out-of-the-lunch-box marketing. As a branding result, customers remember the name with every order/airdrop. Above all, it’s grounded by social media with the how tos and where-fors via Facebook, Twitter, and the Jafflechutes website.
While the "cheesy" menu offers two basics any mother would love (Inflight Cheese and Tomato, $5; Cheese and Ham, $6) the most interesting part is the delivery. Customers are directed to a designated ‘X’ location for arrival of a sandwich parachute (that hopefully drifts into the right honest hands). Not sure if drones are involved, but we do know PayPal is the method of payment.
Yet, the questions remains, how far will advertisers go to create huge "Cirque"-like, aerial attention-seeking promotion productions? How about from Melbourne, Australia to the Big Apple? Truth! Due to successful crowdsourcing, Jafflechutes has moved forward with this second launch. Where it stops next, nobody knows, but like flashmobs wherever…the crowds love it!
Now who would have thought a furry pink mustache riding a car’s grill could be topped in product branding? Here’s to Hotdogs Jafflechutes, Mom, and don’t forget the apple pie!
