Facebook’s ability to connect people and share information plays out all the time. Today a friend shared a post about Paul C. Brunson’s 20 successful habits he learned from working with two billionaires. That interesting read led to another of his posts on new-age entrepreneurs featuring “on fire” Marie Forleo.
If you don’t know Marie Forleo, she is the creator of B-School. It is an eight-week online training program that teaches you everything to you need to know to “Make Money. Change the World.” The eight online modules include topics like website development, killer list building, social media and marketing writing secrets — basically smart online marketing. The modules include videos, templates, resource lists, and action guides. She highlights the value is distilled from over ten years of research and is worth $32,000, and she offers it for $1999.
It’s a great option for people who are not going to commit the financial and time resources to do a university-based graduation program. It seems more affordable and valid in the real world.
For those people who like free things, ah, yes, FREE, Marie now offers a free video series. The 6 Pillar Map offers information to more effectively help sell products and services online. If she can build a global brand with just a laptop and a dream, she wants others to believe they can too.
She also talks about living your dream, giving back, and finding your purpose. She has included social change in her business model. Each paying training program is tied to a nonprofit initiative. It seems this generation feels better about spending and investing when it helps a broader audience than “just me."
Marie Forleo has built an incredible branded online business that teaches others how to do the same. She has a free program and a reasonably priced paid program. She ties in purpose and nonprofits. She’s taken the Oprah approach and made herself the main image of the marketing, and it’s worked. And in her nonprofit initiatives, she helps organizations become better with branding. Follow her to see branding done well.
